About the Event
Please join us and Dr. Chandra Kavanagh on June 25, at 11 am CST to learn about Ethical Data Management Plans and Health Research.
Planning for secure and ethical data management is critical.
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) (the agencies) are federal granting agencies that promote and support research, research training, knowledge transfer and innovation within Canada.
The Tri-Agency has a Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management and RITHIM will be implementing similar requirements with regards to use of data management plans (DMPs) as part of the new privacy review.
This presentation will:
- provide tools and guidance on developing DMPs
- introduce a suite of Data Management Tools created by Dr. Kavanagh and offer a snapshot of the adoption of suite across Canada
- give an overview of Tri-agency's expectations regarding research data management, and the responsibilities of researchers, research communities, and REBs, and how will this impact RITHIM
