Research Manitoba is pleased to announce significant progress in the development of our Research Improvements Through Harmonization in Manitoba (RITHIM) software system, thanks to a new collaboration with trusted software vendor Infonetica. This partnership marks an important milestone in the creation of a harmonized research ethics, privacy, and health institution application review system designed to streamline health research processes across Manitoba. The review application and workflow have been finalized, and the next phase of the project, User Acceptance Testing, will begin soon.
Infonetica, a globally recognized software provider, was selected as RITHIM’s vendor following an extensive request-for-proposal process. With a proven track record of partnering with nearly 150 institutions worldwide, its solutions collectively support approximately 300 universities, healthcare institutions and governmental bodies. Infonetica brings decades of expertise in designing intuitive, configurable systems that empower research organizations to work more effectively.
“Infonetica is proud to be partnering with Research Manitoba to support the development and rollout of the RITHIM system across the province. As we enter the next phase of the project, we look forward to delivering a user friendly and streamlined system for ethical, privacy and healthcare reviews. Our mission is to empower research to advance lives through software for researchers. This project allows us to further our mission by supporting new audiences in Manitoba and to continue expanding our partnerships across Canada.”– Eliot Pallot, Head of Customer Success, Infonetica
Canadian Excellence
In Canada, their solutions are trusted by 17 institutions, including Clinical Trials Ontario. Infonetica’s Ethics RM software underpins CTO Stream, a platform that supports 117 hospitals and research sites, providing an estimated $18 million in savings to the Ontario public system.
Clinical Trials Ontario has this to say about their working relationship:
“For over a decade, our collaboration with Infonetica and the research community has been instrumental in building and continuously evolving CTO Stream into a trusted platform that works for all. Together, we’ve created a tool that prioritizes ease of use and efficiency, meeting the needs of diverse users and streamlining ethics approvals across multi-site studies while ensuring the highest quality standards.”– Susan Marlin, President & CEO, Clinical Trials Ontario
The flexibility of Infonetica’s systems enables multi-site initiatives like CTO Stream to operate seamlessly, creating a standardized yet adaptable workflow that benefits researchers, review boards, and administrators alike. We look forward to this flexibility similarly benefitting the Manitoba health research community soon.
